An already bustling city, Auckland will electrify further with the excitement extravaganza that will be Aquatica 08. A spectacular array of events and activities – from circus acts, to rides, to live bands and fireworks. A celebration of Auckland's sailing heritage including spectacular tall ships, the Naval frigate Te Kaha and classic and contemporary yachts and the Auckland Anniversary regatta.

AQUATICA '08 LAUNCHES with a splash TONGIHT - Friday 25th January at 9.30pm. 

HON Helen Clark will officially open Aquatica on board the tall ship Spirit of Adventure.

Come along to watch the water based performance spectacular with a double hulled waka, light and sound show culminating in a choreographed fireworks display.

The best vantage points for viewing will be Princes Wharf, Hobson Wharf (behind the Maritime Museum), Western Viaduct Halsey St Extension.
