The third annual Auckland Festival of Photography has grown this year into a cross-regional event that provides a focus on photography as a tool of popular culture, a medium for fine art and a recreational pastime.

The festival includes a series of exhibitions across the region throughout June including some of the city and country's best photographic artists as well as opportunities for the skilled and novice to participate.

Auckland City were sponsors of this event in 2004 and 2005 and continue to support the event through the Hobson and Western Bays Community Boards and through Creative Communities funding.
