38岁的王楠（网名“王暖暖”）于2019年6月在泰国一处国家公园被丈夫俞晓东推下34米高的悬崖，全身多处严重受伤。当时她已怀孕三个月，后不幸流产。
俞晓东为继承王楠财产偿还赌债蓄意谋杀。经过三次审理，泰国法院于2024年判处其有期徒刑33年零4个月。
2023年9月，王楠向江苏省南京市秦淮区人民法院提起离婚诉讼。由于俞晓东仍在泰国服刑，案件审理一度受阻。在中国外交人员的协助下，狱中对俞晓东进行了问询并形成正式笔录，法院最终于9月26日通过视频开庭审理。
2025年10月，法院判决准予离婚，并判令俞晓东向王楠支付50万元赔偿金。这一结果获得中国网民普遍支持。

(ECNS) — China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC) has clarified judicial procedures in a high-profile case where a Chinese woman was granted a divorce six years after her husband pushed her off a cliff in Thailand.
Wang Nan, 38, widely known online as “Wang Nuannuan,” sustained severe injuries when her husband, Yu Xiaodong, pushed her from a 34-meter-high cliff in a Thai national park in June 2019. She was three months pregnant at the time and later suffered a miscarriage.
Yu attempted to murder Wang to inherit her assets and repay gambling debts. In 2024, a Thai court sentenced him to 33 years and four months in prison after a third hearing.
In September 2023, Wang filed for divorce with the Qinhuai District People’s Court in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The process faced hurdles as Yu remained incarcerated in Thailand. With assistance from Chinese diplomats, who visited the prison to question Yu and prepare official transcripts, the court proceeded with a video hearing on September 26.
In October 2025, the court approved the divorce and ordered Yu to pay Wang 500,000 yuan (approximately $68,000) in damages. The ruling garnered widespread support on Chinese social media.
